Your life was meant to be an adventure. From your first lusty cry to your final breath, every moment in between was meant to be savored and lived to its fullest. It was Zig Ziglar, the great motivational speaker who said:
“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”
Motivation
Just because you wash with soap and water throughout the day doesn’t mean that soap doesn’t work. Motivation is the soap for our minds, washing away the dirt and scum that threatens to infect you in the form of fear, anxiety and self-doubt.
When people soil you with their negative thoughts about themselves, about the world or worse, about you, that’s when you need to wash your mind with uplifting, motivational words. Finding true joy takes persistence in the pursuit of your dreams and a passion for living.
Persistence in the Pursuit of Your Dreams
Everyone wants to be great. Unfortunately when you begin a new job or interest we have to go through the ugly stage so that you can get better. One of the hardest things about learning something is making mistakes along the way. Producing something that you are less than proud of while you dream of grandeur can be demotivating but you must persevere.
Passion for Life and Living
When it comes to success everyone looks for the blueprint. What they forget is the passion. Having a burning desire to achieve and a love for what you do is what ultimately leads to greatness. This is so easy to see in the performance arts. When you watch somebody dance and they lack passion, all you see is movement. When you watch somebody who is passionate about their art, they are telling a story with their body. The music, scenery and costumes intensify the experience but it is their passion that captivates you and draws you in. The same is true of a salesman or a CEO of a corporation. When you watch passion in another you are immediately captivated, entranced, mesmerized.
If you live and work without passion nothing amazing can happen. Passion and creativity are inextricably connected. Being passionate empowers you to see things in ways that others cannot. When you feel passionately about something you embrace it; you allow yourself the time to study, understand and unravel the intricacies simply because you can’t stop thinking about it.
Remember that the blueprint is merely a map of the road taken by another. If they don’t follow it with passion, their own personal passion, the blueprint is useless.
Dancers dance. Runners run. Leaders lead. But it is passion that makes the ordinary extraordinary; passion that makes the mundane great.
Be persistent. Be passionate. Make your life a blueprint for success.
